FAQ
Does resizing a PNG remove the transparent background?
No. This tool uses HTML5 Canvas in RGBA mode, which fully preserves the alpha channel (transparency) when resizing. Your PNG will look exactly the same, just at a different size.
Why does my PNG turn black when I resize it in Paint or ACDSee?
Most basic image editors don't handle transparency correctly and fill it with black. This tool was built specifically to avoid that — transparency is always kept intact.
What's the maximum size I can resize to?
Up to 9999px in width or height using the custom size option. For most use cases like Etsy listings or Cricut projects, 3000px is the recommended maximum.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas. Your files never leave your device.
